My Last Blog Post? =0

wow!!!! camp is over already?!?! =0

time really went by really fast these last few days. I really had fun this week. it’s a sham that im going to be a senior next year and I wont be able to take this summer camp again. but then again, I am happy that I got to take this at least once. I learned a lot these last few days and hope that the skills I learned will help me out not only in school, but also in any job I get.

Podcast =p

todays project was something interesting. Will, Bernard, and I created a podcast. it was a fun experience in my opinion. We had some trouble because I was out of it today and not only that,the airplane kept passing and at one point, there were children screaming and screaming. we finally got the podcast compleat and in our opinion, we think it is a fairly well podcast.

The slideshow….

the last project that we worked on is a slide show that focused on an interview and a location as well. Will an I had a hard time finding someone to interview. when all hope was lost, we decided to interview Manuel Calderon. Manuel was at the bowling lanes in the University Student Union building. after our interview with Manuel, we headed back to the SS/PA building to work on the slide shows.

Behind The Scenes: the makeing of The Rush For Textbooks

Today was pretty fun. Will, Bernard, Angel, and I filmed a video today we were having a hard time looking for an event that was going on at the CSULB campus. when we thought that we weren’t going to find anything, a flash of hope came to us, well, we actually went up to it. we were informed that there was a sale in the book store and the crew decided to head over before lunch, we were having a hard time finding someone to interview. we finally found two people. Catherine and Kevin. both are students here at CSULB. we were told that there are flexible ways to buy the textbooks.

Interview with Lennie Constanza

I had my first interview in camp today, which also happens to be my first day at camp. It was interesting talking to Lennie Constanza. He is a senior in CSU LB and he is majoring in psychology. We talked about how he got where he is now. he talked about being raised in the ghetto and how he wanted to understand the behavior of others as well as his own emotions. he noticed that at first I was hesitant and then told me that as long as I do something, even if I hesitate, it will help me out a lot. Meeting Lennie was a pleasant and interesting experience. thanks to my new friend Will, I was able to pull this interview off.

My first day at Newspaper2 Camp!!! =)

So….

to prepare myself for my second year of journalism as the Online Editor, I decided to take the summer cm that my teacher told me about. So I’m sitting here thinking how my day is going so far and I personally think that it is going better than I imagined. I am having a wonderful time and it’s just so much fun. I met a few people who I think would make great friends. This is actually a great experience for me. Trust me… this beats being out in the sun all day working with my dad… even though I enjoy working with him, this is a nice change for me. I get to learn something new that i can get to use in the real world… the one where time is money and any skill and every skill that I learn will help me out in any and every job i get.
